March marks Nike's "Air Max Month", which was celebrated with the birth and release of the newest member of the Air Max Family. Nike has consistently found new ways to captivate the sneaker community for over Nike Air Max 95 Femme 30 years by redesigning the visible air bag. In 2017 Nike brought us the Vapormax, the biggest project Nike has ever undertaken to date, setting a high standard for innovations in 2018; a focus on the bold Air Max 270.
Nike continues to master Adidas ZX Flux Damen innovation and design, diving deep into the archives to inspire new silhouettes that take design language and take it to new heights. This model is made for the lifestyle sneakerhead who wants that everyday comfort and can rock this shoe with almost anything.
Designed by Senior Creative Director of Air Max, Dylan Raasch, the Nike Air Max 270 was created with all-day comfort in mind featuring the tallest air bag ever at 32 millimeters. Raasch goes on to say:
The Nike Air Max 270 is based in lifestyle innovation. Previously, the Air Max program was always based in running, so this is a new Nike Air Max 2017 Dámské direction for Nike Air and kicks off an entirely new point of view from a design innovation perspective. With the tallest Max Air unit utilized in the Air Max line-up, the Nike Air Max 270 offers the biggest heel volume displacement for maximum air Nike Air Max 95 Dame cushion comfort. Originally, the idea was to mash up the Air Max 93 and the Air Max 180 and build a new, more refined silhouette incorporating elements of both. Somewhere along the way, we got to a point where we essentially abandoned that idea and decided to make something entirely new. That’s when we flipped to what has now become the Nike Air Max 270 with this new, sleek, engineered upper. It’s not a hybrid at all, it’s a new Air Max.
Nike’s first lifestyle Air unit, the 270, joins with the brand’s softest, smoothest and most resilient foam, Nike React, to form a new articulation of Air Nike Cortez Damen Max.
The Nike Air Max 270 React continues a drive for iterative progress in the Air Max lineage. The introduction of Nike React technology results in a smooth transition from heel to forefoot (the offset is also reduced from its predecessor) and an Adidas Superstar Donna energetic sculpting. The shoe's upper follows the radiating design language of the tooling by layering no-sew materials to mirror a traditional cut-and-sew aesthetic through a new construction methodology.
“Instead of no-sew or stitched on panels, the Air Max 270 React is built with a bar tack technique inspired by the Element React 87," explains Adidas Nmd Damen Dylan Raasch, Nike Senior Sportswear Design Director. "This creates the floating eye stay aesthetic."

The initial releases of the Nike Air Max 270 React share a consistent foundation in art and design history. Each colorway translates a specific artistic style or movement in its blocking and hues. The lead launch colorway, for example, heralds the 100th anniversary of the Bauhaus's founding by recalling the school’s formal studies of asymmetrical balance. |
